The great gatsby is a story of romantic events in this book its about a man falling in love with a lovely lady named daisy. He fits the clothes of the romance hero because he still has bones in his closet. There are things that will make these things come to life. As you wonder be thankful this is a romace story.
The romance hero has plenty of faithful followers in gats case Nick and Jordan are his followers.Nick is the only real friend Gatsby had when his funeral came up he was the only one who came to mourn his death. With events happening theres always a wise old man who loves to shead some light on the story. This mans name was Meyer Wolfshime he is the one who got gatsby started in his path and he would have not been paid.
The romantic hero always has to have a beautiful vision he always wants.Gatsby dream was to get with Daisy. He through parties just so he could have a run in with her. I dont think the love will always be real and heart felt like this. With every story there always a number that is 3 and thats magic talking. His group was Daisy jordan and his self.
The numbre 3 is like magic. The magic is put through daisy and gatsby and there was nothing like there first kiss and is was magicical. The first kiss meant that this would get hot and get a little crazy. Gatsby friend made a date so he and daisy can meet again. There was no other friend like nick he always made sure the parties was crazy. Gatsby had no love from anyone they didnt even care if he ahd passed.
In reality Gatsby never found the love of his life . He had a ice box in his heart and the world knew is.The love was over with out even letting him get a taste of it.Gatsby was a good man had nobody never realized it.

In the heros jouney, there is a passage they hero must go through. After completing the jouney, the hero should be in some way or form changed. In this tale of Beowulf, his home in sweden introduces the preperation for the first stage. there are a few indications that he will be the hero of the story.
He sets out t help the people of hothgar, to defend them against grendal. who loves to eat and terrorize its civilians. the threshold for beowulf, was when he was eager to go off and fight with grendal. He wishes to go alone so he would be known though out the land.
He goes and defets grendal, showing the abyss for he didnt know grendals mother would want revenge. when he lerns of her he decides to go and fight her while he is filled with over confidence. the mentor is normaly a person or animal but in this story it iss the sword he found in the lare of grendals mothere.
As he deffeted the beast, he returned not to hothgar but to his home of sweden. his tale procided him to his town and when he returned he was honnored and prazed. he stayed there knowing he was a hero. he died many years later a true hero.

The Giver is a book about community that has no color, no thoughts, no feelings and you live a life that no one has Had. When he turns twelve he receives the job of receiver of memory. His job is to receive all the memories for the community. This is when Jonas's Hero's Journey begins.
The ceremony of tadre's is when all the kids turning receive the job that they will have the rest of there lives. The Giver chosen to stay behind to help the community. After Jonas left, his memories would scare the community and the Giver wanted to stay and support them. Now that Jonas was the receiver he had lots of things to do and take care of. In the meantime Jonas was testing his follower by bringing Gabe through freezing cold and starvation. The ending is both sad blissful. Either way the reader interprets it through, Jonas and Gabe were still free.
There is somethings romantic in the way the readers see the hero. he goes through the same framework of the romance motif. This story, just like many others, wouldn't be great without blueprints of the romance motif. So he finally gets to the top of a snow covered, and he remembers one of the memories that the Giver once shared with him, he then slides down the hill, and gets to else where, that's how the book ends.
Quite interesting, but it also leaves us waiting to know more about it. Maybe it didn't really explain the whole book, but the important part of it is that the Hero's Journey was one of the most difficult lessons I most learned. No matter what the Hero's Journey makes you a Hero.

This essay The Romance Hero is the topic to go with because i was once in love and knew how someone felt when they got heart broken from love and this has to do with a book call The Giver. The boy in that story was in love, but people there didn't know what love really was and that boy fell in love. But that story is where I'm at and i fell in love with a wonderful girl and she was telling me all the the time how much she loved me and how much she wanted to be with me and i was the sucker for believing her. She used me for things she wanted and it took me a little while to figure all that out and i finally just put all the information that i had come up with for the 4 months that me and her were together and i couldn't do it any more but to this day i still think bout her and my heart is broke into tiny little pieces. I still think about her every night wondering why she did that to me but i guess time changes and people get over things because i will move on and find the perfect girl in my life

Katrine Schoen Final Exam Essay
The Heroic Journey of Jay Gatsby
Many stories base the Hero’s Journey around one character; those characters usually have one purpose and one journey. But what about Jay Gatsby? The question I ask is: Does man have only one journey? Or, does man have many? Jay Gatsby had two.
In the tales of “The Great Gatsby,” Jay Gatsby was the son of a poor farming family. During his teenage years, he enlisted in the United States Army and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant during the Great War. Through his travels as a soldier, he met Daisy; the love of his life. This has demonstrated Jay Gatsby’s separation. His calling, being the war, and his threshold, were he would meet Daisy. His descent is when he must leave Daisy and go to Europe for the war. Soon, upon Gatsby’s leaving, Daisy will marry Tom Bucanon.
When Gatsby leaves, he enters his abyss: Being gone for Five years of the war and not knowing if he will ever see Daisy again. Through his abyss, Gatsby acquires a mentor by the name of Dan Cody, who leaves him money to get an education. This will help lead to his success and wealth. Thus, leading to his initiation and transformation into the nouvelle riche.
Now we come to his creation. Frequently, Gatsby would hold lavish parties in attempt to gain the attention of Daisy. Soon, with the help of Nick Carroway (a cousin of Daisy’s), Gatsby reunites with Daisy. Falling madly in love, they start an affair. Starting his second journey, Gatsby tries to get daisy to leave Tom. He almost succeeds, but, is assassinated.
So it is true that man can have more than one journey in life. Even though he barely even started his second journey, Jay Gatsby is not only a hero, but a veteran as well.

Treena Regis -- Final Exam Essay
We all face some sort of tragedy in our life. Someone you were close to might of died or something you loved might of slipped from you like a job.Tragedy is a form of drama characterized by seriousness and dignity usually involving a conflict between a character and some higher power, such as the law or gods. Many writers such as Shakespeare demonstrate tragedy in storys to relate to people.
In the story The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet the love and passion of Romeo and Juliet were very vivid. Because of their family fued, Montague vs. Capulet, both families lost their precious child. If people weren't so caught up in "gangs" and wars then there would be less death. A lot of people don't need to experiance tragedy in the form of death. After death then they realize the things they could of changed. It was a sad tragedy that Romeo did not get his Juliet and Juliet did not get her Romeo instead they met up in the after life.
A war results in tragedy. People lose their lives or the ones they love in war. In Troy war was fought over a women and to obtain more land. Civilians died for nothing. Tragedy stikes someone the second they lose something they care most about.
The reason why we show tragedy in books and movies is to show life goes on even after a dramatic event. But sometimes we are the ones aiding in a tragedy without realizing it. Like in Romeo and Juliet, if their families weren't in arguement over a name, Romeo and Juliet would of been together. Its hard to stay clear of drama but in the end there are ways to avoid it. Unless there was mother nature or natural causes of death then in those cases tragedy strikes with no precations. Tragedy is when something we do not want to happen happens. Our lives can always relate to tragedy.

Do you consider yourself being a functional family or dysfunctional family? Can you define the difference?Do all functional families believe in the same traits?Whats the difference between functional and dysfunctional families that functional families don't have or want to have.
This relates good to the book "The Giver" by Lois Lowery.Jonas was the main character and the outcast of the family. His parents had dark colored eyes as well has his sister but Jonas had light colored eyes gray.He thought differently than his family and the community has well because they all believed in the same rules same everything.GE had more than an open mind then all the the others.
To them they thought that functional families never had pain they were always happy, well educated.they were also categorized by age, gender, not race because they were all Caucasian. They considered dysfunctional families let me use an example birth mothers. They were considered as a joke it was a job but filthy one at that as well as the fathers regular families weren't allowed to have there own babies because they were in their own little world with their jobs.
Functional families were assigend babies they had to go to all types of procecduers.Thats why i think that they were dysfunctional families because they thought to them they weren't allowed because they would look bad to their community. It was as though they were taking a baby away from their rightful parents they were never gonna know that the parents there with aren't their real parents but loonies.
As time passes by Jonas becomes more aware of how the community is trying to hide bad memories so that only the community could only relay on good memories and don't have to worry about the past and the troubled life's they once had.As Jonas turned twelve he was assigend to be the giver were a person would pass him on the bad memories and keep them alive but only for himself which was something that Jonas didn't like doing because he thought that it wasn't fair for him to keep alive all those memories and look at the community as everything is peachy nice.
One reason why i like that what Jonas did to the community was that he left the city knowing that the people would have to face those memories that they wouldn't know what to do with them and that's why Jonas was assigned for that because if someone dreamt about something he could go to Jonas and he would tell them that everything was alright to take a pill and everything would get back to normal. That's why i like Jonas he had a new brother thought is was his real brother and took him with him on his long journey to a new place were they wouldn't be no more fake communities.
Another reason why i think Jonas did what he did because he saw his father kill a new born because he weighed less that his other twin baby because there couldn't be two alike that's how messed up the community was. That's why it was good for Jonas do what he did if i were in his shoes i would have done the same.
